President of the Austrian IVF – Society
In March 2007 he was also elected as President of the Austro Hungarian Society of Assisted Reproductive Technologies ( AHART) together with Dr. Janos Konc from Budapest.
NEW: flushing the uterine cavity to improve pregnancy rates:
In the periodical "Fertility and Sterility" a Japanese group published a novel method of embryo transfer to improve pregnancy rates. After follicle puncture the uterine cavity was flushed with culture supernatant to induce endometrial receptivity. The blastocyst transfer was established 2 days later. As the result the pregnancy rate was doubled. But we must consider that only a small group of patients was treated. Further studies must verify these data.
For patients who failed IVF for two or several times we offer this method.
